JAMES LEWIS GRAVES Athens Banner, December 2, 1930 Transcribed by Connie Epps Bond July 20, 2007 Funeral Services for Mr J L (James Lewis) Graves Are Held This Afternoon Funeral services for Mr. James Lewis graves, 31, who died at his home near Farmington, GA, Monday afternoon, were held in the Salem church, Oconee county, this afternoon at 3 o’clock. Rev. Adrian Warwick, pastor of the Bishop Methodist church officiated. Palbearers were: Messrs. Herbert, Trueman, Garland, Alton and Edmund Thrasher, and Ralph Graves. Interment was in the Salem church cemetery. Bernstein Brothers in charge. Surviving Mr. Graves are his wife, Mrs. Vergia Graves, one daughter, Miss Zadia Elizabeth Graves; one son, J. W. Graves; father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Graves, Oconee county: five sisters Mrs. G. L. Thrasher, Oconee county; Miss Marion Graves, Athens; Misses Manon, Beryl, and Ruth Graves, of Oconee county; and four brothers, Messrs. Avery, Olin, Cullen and Ralph Graves of Oconee County.
