Hagwood CRAWFORD – James Milton Hagwood, 73, died Thursday, July 9, 1992. A native of Oconee County, Mr. Hagwood was a son of the late William Alfred and Jessie Mae Brooks Hagwood. He was a veteran of World War II and had lived in Crawford most of his life. He was a member of Crawford Pentecostal Church. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Crawford Pentecostal Church. The Revs. B. G. Miller and H. W. O’Dillon will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park, Athens. Pallbearers will be Tony Anderson, Jimmy Compton, Tim Boswell, Church Tatum, Jewell Grimes and Matt Scarboro. Honorary pallbearers will be Leonard Tatum, Walter Anderson, William Marchman, Enoch Reynolds and J. R. Taylor. Survivors include a sister, Helen Green, Crawford; a brother Emerson Hagwood, Watkinsville; and several nieces and nephews. The family is at the residence of Helen Green, Wall Street, Crawford or the residence of Ricky and Linda Hagwood, Broad Street, Crawford. The family will receive friends at Oglethorpe Chapel Funeral Home from 7-9 tonight.
