A native of Iowa, Mrs. Turk had lived in Oconee County for five years. She was a homemaker and a member of Athens Christian Church. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Bernstein Funeral Home chapel, Athens. The Revs. Mark Clark and Tim Hudson will officiate. Burial will be in Oconee Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be David Grimm, Jeff Morris, Rod Walston, Duane Leinhos, David Jarrett and Terry Cotton. Survivors include her parents, Howard A. Bradford and Valee Snow Bradford, Marietta; her husband, Shawn H. Turk; a son, Jeremy Colin Turk, Watkinsville; a brother, Theodore A. Bradford, Duluth; two sisters, Deborah S. Allen, Mount Olive, N.C. and Peggy E. Smith, Kennesaw; and nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7-9 tonight. In lieu of flowers, memorials my be made to the Rebecca Turk Memorial Fund, Athens Christian Church, 1200 Forest Heights Drive, Athens, GA.
