This Certifies That the Rite of Holy Matrimony was Celebrated between 
Josiah Hewell of the one part and Mary C. Vaughan of the other part on December
the 4th 1852 at A. Vaughans by I.H. Goss.

Elizabeth Vaughan departed this life October 7 x 1873    
Mary E Hewell departed this life February 18 x 1863    
Thomas H. Hewell was born in the year of our lord November the 15 1863 was born
dead
Alexander Vaughan departed this life May the 28 x 1880  
Josiah Hewell departed this life Dec the 21st 1896

Martha L Hewell and Wm Bryant was married December the 22 . 1887

Additional Comments:
This is the information from the record pages from the middle of the family
Bible of Josiah and Mary Caroline Hewell.  This Bible was given to their
daughter Martha Lissonia Hewell Bryant.  Lissie gave the Bible to her daughters
Lydie Bryant Sisk and Willie Mae Bryant.  The Bible, itself no longer exist,
only the record pages and title page.  William Sisk, grandson of Lydie, gave the
Bible pages to Carolyn Bryant Faz.
