Smith, Robert Colquitt, ___ Kidd, John Phillips, Edward Jordan and Ephraim Hudson, all of Oglethorpe County. For and in consideration of the sum of $50 Dollars, conveyed to the above named Trustees for the use and purpose of erecting and constructing a house for publik (sp) worship thereon for the use of the Methodist Episcopal Church. Beginning at a red oak corner, thence southeast 14 Rods to a post oak corner, thence west 14 Rods to a post oak corner, thence west 16 Rods to a popular. Thence north 12 Rods to a pine corner, thence northeast 14 Rods to the beginning corner red oak containing 1 acres and a half.
