Chan J. Bell
  Death has again invaded our ranks and removed from our midst Bro. Chan J. 
Bell. He was a native of and spent the major part of his life in this 
community. Bro. Bell was born April 15, 1888 and died Dec. 20, 1961.
  For many years Bro. Bell followed the honorable vocation of farming and in 
later years engaged in other activities. During World War II he served his 
country in the ship yards at Savannah.
  He was a member of our board of deacons and faithful in attendance while his 
health permitted. For several years past ill health and circumstances beyond 
his control prevented his attendance. We remember his kindly presence of by 
gone days. This memorial, therefore is to reverence his memory and to extend to 
the bereaved relatives our sympathy.
