This file was contributed by: Barbara Walker Winge Barbarawinge@yahoo.com ================================================================= File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Barbara Walker Winge [barbarawinge@yahoo.com] This Indenture Made This Twenty seventh day of February in the Year of Our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Ninety five between Daniel Allen & Mary his wife of the County of Oglethorpe and State of Georgia of the one part and William Martin of the County and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said Daniel Allen and Mary his Wife for and in consideration of the sum of forty pounds sterling to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged hath granted bargained sold aliened in fee offer released & confirm to and by these presents doth grant bargain sell alien in fee off release and confirm unto the said William Martin his heirs and assigns forever a Certain Tract or parcel of Land situate lying & being in the County of Oglethorpe and State aforesaid on the North fork of Little River Beginning at a Dogwood on the South bank of Little River, thence down the meanders of the River to the Mouth of the Dry fork, thence up the dry Fork to Eley’s line, thence his line to a Hickory corner on Calahan’s line, thence Calahan’s line to the Beginning, containing One Hundred acres be the same more or less together with all and singular, the rights members and appurtenances there unto belonging or in any wise ascertaining to the same Tract or parcel of Land and premises above mentioned and also all the estate right title Interest claim or demand of them the said Daniel Allen and Mary his Wife their heirs and assigns and against the claim of all other person or persons Whatsoever to him the said William Martin his heirs and assigns forever – To have – hold use occupy (and _____ the same in fee simple in Witness whereof the said Daniel Allen and Mary his Wife hath hereunto set their hand & affixed their seals the day and year first above Written Signed sealed & Delivered } Daniel his X mark Allen [Seal] In the presence of Mary her X mark Allen [Seal] Josiah Cole J.P.
