This file was contributed by: Barbara Walker Winge barbarawinge@yahoo .com ================================================================== State of Georgia )) This Indenture made this fourteenth Day of July Oglethorpe County )) one thousand Seven Hundred & ninety four Between Nathan Atkinson of the County & State aforesaid of the One part and Joseph Catching of the County and State aforesaid of the Other Parts Witnesseth that the said Nathan Atkinson For and in Consideration of the Sum of fifty five pounds Sterling money to him in hand well and Truly paid by the said Joseph Catching at on before the sealing and Delivery of these presents the receipts whereof is hereby Acknowledged hath Granted bargained sold acknowledged and Confirmed by these presents do Grant Bargain Seal Release and Confirm unto the said Joseph Catching his Heirs and assigns a certain Tract or parcel of Lands Containing One hundred and four Acres be the same more or Less situated Lying and being in the County of Oglethorpe on the Waters of Little River Beginning at a post Oak Corner Running N. sixty nine Degrees West Twenty chains to a post Oak on said Catching Line thence north thirty East Seven Chains fifty Links to a Buck Eye Corner thence north sixty seven west Five Chains to a pine Corner thence south Eight Degrees West thirty Chains to a post Oak Corner thence south sixty three East thirteen Chains to a post Oak Corner on Catchings Land thence to the Beginning it Being parts of a tract of Land Containing four hundred and ninety Acres Granted to said Nathan Atkinson Together with all and singular the rights Membors and Apparatuses thereof whatsoever to the said Tract of Land Belonging or in any wise appertaining and the remainders ___vasions ___ents issues Rights thereof and of every part thereof To have and to hold the said Tract or parcel of Lands and all and singular the premises and appurtenants there unto belonging as aforesaid and every part thereof unto the said Joseph Catching his heirs and assigns to the only proper use Benefit and behoove of the said Joseph Catching his heirs and assigns forever and the said Nathan Atkinson & his heirs the said Tract of Land & premises aforesaid and every part thereof unto the said Joseph Catching his heirs and assigns against him the said Nathan Atkinson and his heirs and all and every other person or persons Whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these present.
