Indenture between Jasper Bush and Harrison L. Thornton, 
3 February 1835 

This indenture made this the third day of February in the year 
of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & thirty five between 
JASPER BUSH of the one part of the county & state aforesaid and 
HARRISON L THORNTON of the same place of the other part witnesseth 
that the said JASPER BUSH for and in consideration of the sum of 
thirty dollars to him in hand paid by the said THORNTON the receipt 
whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained sold & conveyed unto 
the said THORNTON his heirs & assigns all that tract or parcel of 
land situate lying & being in the county aforesaid containing eighteen 
acres more or less lying on the waters of Indian Creek beginning at a 
stake corner & running due W with said BUSHES line 13 C 50L to a sweet 
gum corner in the branch thence up said branch to a black gum corner 
thence N 15 E 8 chains to a R Oak corner thence due S to the beginning 
to have & to hold said tract or parcel of land and all appurtenances 
thence unto the said HARRISON L THORNTON his heirs  assigns forever 
in fee simple In testimony whereof I have here unto set my hand and 
seal the day and year above written signed and sealed and delivered 
in presence of
