	This Indenture made this fourteenth day of Janry in the year of our 
lord One Thousand Seven hundred and ninety Seven Between Parks Chandler of the 
County of Oglethorpe & State of Georgia of the one part and John Davenport of 
the County and State aforesaid of the other part  Witnesseth that the said 
Parks Chandler and Mary his wife for and in consideration of the Sum of One 
hundred & fifty Dollars to them in hand paid before the sealing and Delivering 
of these presents hath Granted bargained Sold released and confirmed and do by 
these presents Grant Bargain Sell release and confirm unto the said John 
Davenport his heirs Executors Administrators or Assigns all that Tract or 
parcel of Land Containing by Estimation Two hundred & fifty acres be the same 
more or less it being a Tract Granted to the Said Parks Chandler Dated the 10th 
of February 1796.  Beginning at a post Oak Corner N 65 W 26 Chains to a Post 
Oak and Stake Corner on Gaines line Thence N 82 W. 20 Ch to a P. O. Corner. 
Thence S 8 W. 11 Ch. To a P. O. Corn Thence S 64 W. 17. Ch. To a White Oak & 
Stake Corner. Thence 59. Ch. To a Black Oak Corner of William Luckies Thence N 
52 E. 47. Ch. To a pine corner on Murphys line. Thence N 30 E 40 Ch. To a white 
Oak Corner of Murpheys Thence to the Beginning Together with all and singular 
the rights members and appertenances there of to said Tract or parcel of land 
belonging or in any wise appertaining with the remainders reversions rent 
Houses and profits thereof and of Every part thereof To have and to hold the 
said Tract of Land with all & singular the rights premises and appertenances 
thereunto belonging as aforesaid & Every part there of unto the
Said John Davenport his heirs & assigns to the only proper use Benefit & Behoof 
of him the said John Davenport his heirs & assigns forever and the said Parks 
Chandler and Mary his wife for themselves & their heirs the said Tract of Land 
and premises afore said and every part thereof and the said John Davenport his 
heirs and assigns against them the said Parks Chandler and Mary his wife and 
their heirs and all and singular or Every other person or persons whatsoever 
shall warrant and for ever defend by these presents In Witness where of the 
said Parks Chandler and Mary his (sic) have hereunto set their Hands & affixed 
their Seals the day and year first above written
