Witnesseth that the said William Ellis Jnr for and in consideration of the sum of Twelve hundred Dollars to him in hand paid at or before the Sealing and delivering of these presents the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold and conveyed and do by these presents grant bargain sell and convey unto the said William Ellis Snr. his heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of Land situate lying and being in the County aforesaid on the waters of Big Creek containing one hundred and Seventy Eight Acres More or less Beginning at a dogwood Stump thence N70 E5 chains to B Oak Corner thence South five chains to a pine corner thence East five chains to a pine corner thence North five chains to a stake thence N70 E9 chains to a stake thence East 42.75 to a poplar thence N20 W3 chains to a Dogwood thence N20 W7.75 to a Hickory thence S85 W till intersect Harris old line thence N90 E to a Dogwood thence N20 W 31.50 to a pine thence S70 W16.50 to a P. oak thence S12 E12(?) to a Red oak thence S89 W to a Hickory thence S20 East to the Beginning dogwood Stump. To have and to hold all and Singular the above named premises to the said William Ellis Snr. his heirs and assigns free from the claim or claims of all and every other person or persons whatsoever.
