Witnesseth that whereas the said William Ellis agreeable to a Will made by William Ellis Senr. is entitled to his distributive share or undivided interest in his fathers estate (who is yet in life) both real and personal & whereas he the said William Jr. has this day for and in consideration of the sum of twelve hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the said John Ellis the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted Bargained and sold all his right and title to that part of his Fathers estate willed to him or that may hereafter be willed to him as one of the lawful heirs of William Ellis Senr. now in life and he the said William Ellis Jr. doth for himself his heirs executors administrators or assigns Relinquish and forever Quit claim to any & every part of his Fathers estate which is now willed or that may hereafter be bequeathed to him or his heirs unto him the said John Ellis his heirs &C. In Witness whereof he the said William Ellis Jr. hath hereunto set his hand & seale the day and date above written. Wm Ellis Jr (Seal) Signed Sealed and delivered in presence of Lucy Lumpkin George Lumpkin _________ Georgia Oglethorpe County Personally came George Lumpkin before me who is one of the subscribing Witneses to the foregoing relinquishments and after being duly sworn saith that he saw the within named William Ellis sign the within relinquishment as his own act and deed and that he saw the other Subscribing witness sign as such.
