Goolsby To Samuel Goolsby 1795 Georgia This indenture made this Tenth day of December One Thousand seven hundred and ninety five between John T. Goolsby Senr. of the state aforesaid and County of Oglethorpe one part and Samuel Goolsby of the State of Virginia and County of Amherst of the other part . Witnesseth that the said John T Goolsby for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained and sold and by these presents doth bargain and sell unto the said Samuel Goolsby his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land containing one hundred and forty three acres be the same more or less lying in the aforesaid county on Broad River being part of a larger tract of five hundred and seventy six acres belonging to said John T. Goolsby and bounded as followeth. To wit , beginning at a ----oak near a spring on the bacl line running thence N 4º 30 E 58 chains to a p. oak. Thence N 5 º W 31 chains to a Hickory on the river. Thence down the river with the meanders the same thereof 64 chains to a small ash on the bank. Thence S 2 º W 30 ch 50 links to a pine. Thence S 9º 30 E 53 chains crossing a branch to a red oak on the Beck line. Thence S 75 W 24 chains to the beginning. To have and to hold the said tract ofland and premises to him the said Samuel Goolsby his heirs and assigns forever and the said John T. Goolsby doth for himself his heirs executors and administrators covenant and agree with the said Samuel Goolsby his heirs and assigns do warrant and forever defend the said tract or parcel of land and premises to the said Samuel Goolsby his heirs and assigns for ever in fee simple free from all claims rights title and demand of him the said John T. Goolsby his heirs or assigns or any other claimants whatever. In Witness whereof the said John T.
