Goolsby Senior. and Elizabeth Goolsby his wife of Oglethorpe County and State of Georgia of the one part and William Goolsby of the same County and State of the other part . Witnesseth that the said John Goolsby Senior.and Elizabeth his wife hath for the consideration of the sum of Eighty Dollars of good and lawful money of the said state aforesaid to them in hand paid before thesealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained sold and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargained sold and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain sell and confirm unto the said William Goolsby his heirs or assigns all that tract of land lying on the waters of Broad River and bounded as followeth. Beginning at a pine on the old line thence N 75 º E 24 chs. To a pine on Bellamy thence S 31 º E 23 ½ chs. To a pine on Nich. Johnson Thence S 80 º W 36 ch. To a --- oak and from thence to the beginning containing by estimation seventy acres more or less together with all and singular the rights appurtenances whatsoever to the said tract or parcel of land ------ and in any wise appertaining and the -----------rents and profits thereof and of every part thereof to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land and all the premises and appurtenances thereunto belonging as aforesaid and every part thereof unto the said William Goolsby his heirs and assigns to the only proper use benefit and behoof of him the said William Goolsby his heirs and assigns forever and the said John Goolsby Senior and Elizabeth his wife and their heirs the said tract of land aforesaid and every part thereof unto the said William Goolsby his heirs and assigns against the claim or claims of them the said John Goolsby Senior and Elizabeth his wife and their heirs and all and every other person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents.
