Goolsby Senr. To Daniel Goolsby 1795 Georgia This indenture made this Eighteenth day of November One Thousand seven hundred and ninety five between John T. Goolsby Senr. of the one part and Daniel Goolsby his son of the other part both of the County of Oglethorpe and State aforesaid. Witnesseth that the said John Tarentine Goolsby Senr. for and in consideration of the sum of Fifty pounds to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained and sold and by these presents doth bargain and sell unto the said Daniel Goolsby his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land containing one hundred and forty three acres be the same more or less lying in the said county of Oglethorpe on Broad River being party of a larger --- of five hundred and seventy six acres belonging to the said John T. Goolsby and bounded as followeth, to wit, beginning at a hickory corner of the estate of John Gilmer decd. on the river running thence down the river four chains to the mouth of a branch thence up the branch within the manders thereof 37 chains to a pine corner . Thence a new line S 24 º 30 E 25 chains to a white oak on a------- on the old line . Thence with the same S 75º W 48 chains to a dogwood on the Gilmers line. Thence with the same N 18º 78 chains to the beginning . To have and to hold the said tract of land and premises to him the said Daniel Goolsby his heirs and assigns forever and the said John T. Goolsby Senr. doth for himself his heirs executors and administrators covenant and agree with the said Daniel Goolsby his heirs and assigns to warrant and defend the said tract of land and premises to him the said Daniel Goolsby his heirs and assigns forever in fee simple free from all claims rights title or demand of him the said John T. Goolsby Senr. his heirs or assigns or any other clamant whatsoever. In Witness whereof the said John T. Goolsby Senr. hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and date above written .
