Indenture bet James Hartsfield & Wm Cunningham 22 Dec 1823 Oglethorpe Co, GA

This indenture made this twenty second day of Decmeber in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and twenty three between James Hartsfield of the
County of Oglethorpe in the State of Georgia of the one part and William
Cunningham of the County of Madison of teh Other part witnesseth that the said
James Hartsfield for and in consideration of three hundred and fifty dollars
to him in hand paid by the said William Cunningham the receipt whereof is
hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold and doth by these presents
grant bargain and sell unto the said William Cunningham his heirs and assigns
all that lot or parcel of land situate lying and being in the County aforesaid
containing one hundred and twenty eight acres more or less.  Beginning at a
corner Maple thence to a post oak corner thence N 80 W 20.00 links to a stake
corner thence S 30 W 52 chains to a white oak corner thence S 80-3/4 E 18.40
to a Sweet Gum corner thence n 60 e 11.50 links to the mouth of a branch
thence up the said branch to the Beginning corner maple together with all and
singular the rights members and appertenancies therunto belonging or in any
wise appertaining to have and to hold the same unto the said William
Cunningham and to his heirs and assigns forever and the said James HArtsfield
the said tract of land with its appertenancies to the said William Cunningham
his heirs and assigns against the claim right and title of him the said James
Hartsfield and his heirs and against the claim right and title of all and
every other person or persons whatsoever Shall and Will warrant and forever
defend by these presents in Testimony whereof the said James Hartsfield hat
therunto set his hand and seal the day and year above written
