Indenture bet Middleton Hartsfield & Francis Trammell 08 Jul 1818 Oglethorpe Co, GA

This Indenture made this eighth day of July in the year of our Lord eighteen
hundred & eighteen between Middleton Hartsfield of the County of Clarke &
State aforesaid of the one part & Francis Trammell of the same State & County
of the other part, Witnesseth that the said Middleton Hartsfield for & in
consideration of the sum of fifty dollars to him in hand will truly paid at &
before the Sealing & delivering of these presents the receipt whereof is
hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold conveyed & quitclaimed by
these presents doth grant bargain sell quit claim & convey unto the sd.
Francis M. Trammell his heirs & assgns the fifth part of a tract of land lying
in the County of Oglethorpe & State aforesaid adjoining Charly <?> & others
containing one thousand acres to have & to hold the said tract or parcel of
land together with all & singular the rights members & appurtances thereof
whatever to the said Francis M. Trammell being belonging or in any wise
appertaining to the only proper use benefit & behoof of him the said Francis
M. Trammell his heirs executors administrators & assigns & the said Middleton
Hartsfield doth bind himself his heirs executors & administrators the said
bargained tract or parcel of land unto the said Francis M. Trammell his heirs
executors administrators & assigns against him the said Middleton Hartsfield
his heirs executors administrators & assigns shall warrant & forever defend
but not against the claim or claims of any other person or persons whatsoever

& affixed his seal the day & year first above written
