Indenture bet Richard Hartsfield & Mark Andrews 02 Aug 1813 Oglethorpe Co, GA This Indenture made this second day of August the year of our Lord One thousand eighteen hundred and thirteen Between Richard Hartsfield of teh County of Oglethorpe in the State of Georgia of the One Part and Mark Andrews of the same place of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Richard Hartsfield for and in consideration of Eighty five dollars to him in hand paid by the said Mark Andrews the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged that granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell unto the said Mark Andrews and to his heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcel of land containing seventeen and on fourth acres lying on Little Beaverdam Creek in the county aforesaid Surveyd and granted to Margaret Bickerstaff Begining at a corner White Oak runing thence on Said Andrews land S84-3/4E 8 chains to corner chesnut thence S77-1/2E 19 chs. 18 links to coarner P. Oak thence N30E 9 chs. 80 links to corner Hickory thence on James Hartsfield line N61W 27 chs. to corner Sourwood thence S23W 11 chs. 15 links to the Begining together with all and Singular the rights members and appurtneances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining to the said Mark Andrews his heirs and assigns forever to have and Hold the said tract of land and premises to himi the said Mark Andrew his heirs and assigns And the said Richard Hartsfield for himslef and his heirs doth covenant and agree with the said Mark Andrew his heirs and assigns to warrant and for ever defend the said tract of land and premises to himi the said Mark Andrews and to his heirs and assigns forever against him the said Richard Hartsfield and his heirs and against the claim right and title of all and singular every other person or persons whatsoever Shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents In testimoney whereof the said Richard Hartsfield hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year above written Richd.
