Indenture bet Richard Hartsfield & Reuben McElroy 25 Dec 1802 Oglethorpe Co, GA

This Indenture made this twenty fifth day of December in the year of Our Lord
One Thousand Eight hundred & two between Reuben McElroy of the County of
Oglethorpe & State of Georgia of the one part & Richard Hartsfield of the
County & State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said Reuben
McElroy for & in consideration of the Sum of fifty Dollars to him in hand paid
by the Said Richard Hartsfield before the Sealing & Delivering of these
presents the receipt whereof the Said Reuben McElroy doth hereby Acknowledge
hath bargained Granted Sold and Confirmed unto the Said Richard Hartsfield his
heirs & assigns one certain tract or parcel of Land lying & being in the
County of Oglethorpe & State of Georgia on the East Side of the Grove Creek of
Broad River Begining at the grove Creek on Wiley Sim's line thence East to a
Post Oak x.  thence North on the Said Hartsfields line to a Pine x.  thence
West on Said Hartsfields line to the Said Creek up the Said Creek to the
begining Containing forty Acres more or less part of a tract granted to the
Said Reuben McElroy Together with all & Singular the rights member &
appurtenances thereof Whatsoever to the said Tract of Land being belonging or
in any wise Appertaining & the Remainders Reversions Rents issues & Profits
thereof & Every Part therof to have & to hold the Said tract of Land & all &
Singular the Premises & appurtenances Thereunto belonging as aforesaid & Every
Part therof unto the Said Richard Hartsfield his heirs & assigns to the only
Proper use benefit & behoof of the said Richard Hartsfield his heirs & assigns
forever & the said Reuben McElroy & his heirs the said tract of Land &
Premises aforesaid & Every part therof unto the Said Richard Hartsfield his
heirs & assigns against the said Reuben McElroy & his heirs & all & Every
other person or persons whatsoever Shall & will warrant & forever Defend by
these Presents In Witness whereof the said Reuben McElroy hath herunto Set his
hand & Seal the day & year first above written.
