Indenture bet Henry Hartsfield & James Gilmore 03 Feb 1801 Oglethorpe Co, GA This Indenture Made this third day of February in the year of Our Lord one Thousand Eight hundred and one Between Henry Hartsfield and Polley his Wife of the County of Oglethorpe and State of Georgia of the one part & James Gilmore of the County of Lincoln & State Aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the Said Henry Hartsfield & Polley his Wife for & in Consideration of the Sum of four hundred & fourteen Dollars to them in hand paid by the Aforesaid James Gilmore hath bargained Sold & delivered & by these presents do bargain Sell and Deliver unto the Said James Gilmore a Tract or parcel of land Containing Two hundred & Seven Acres more or less lying & Being in the County & State Aforesaid on the Waters of the Grove Creek & South fork of the Broad river and Bounded as follows Begining and Cornering on a Hicory at the mouth of the grove Creek & runing with Broad river Agreable to the Meanders to a Sweet Gum Corner thence runing South Thirty West Eighty to a Rd. Oak Corner Thence North Sixty West Nine Chains Seventy five Links to a W.
