Indenture bet Hannah McCarty et al & Henry Hartsfield Jones 29 May 1799 Oglethorpe Co, GA

This indenture made this Twenty Ninth day of May in the year of our Lord One
Thousand Seven Hundred & Ninety Nine between Hannah McCarty, Cornelius
McCarty, and William M. Stokes of the State of Georgia and County of
Oglethorpe of the one part & Henry Hartsfield of the County & State aforesaid
of the other part Witnesseth that the said Hannah McCarty, Carnelius McCarty,
and William M. Stokes for & in consideration of the sum of fifteen hundred
dollars to them in hand paid by the said Henry Hartsfield before the sealing
and delivering of these presents the trust whereof is herby acknowledged by
the said Hannah McCarty, Cornelius McCary, & William M. Stokes hath granted,
bargained, sold, & confirmed unto the said Henry Hartsfield, his heirs, &
assigns a certain tract or parcel of land lying & being in the County & State
aforesaid on the waters of Broad River Beginning at a Hickory x.  Thence S.
30. W. 50. C. to a Wahoo x.  Thence S. 60. E. 90. C. to a Red Oak x.  Thence
N. 30. E. 60. C. to a Gum x.  Thence along the River to the beginning
Containing five hundred acres together with all & singular the rights,
members, & appertenances thereof whatsoever to the said tract of land lying,
belonging, or in any wise appertaining & the remainder, revertions<?>, rents,
issues, & profits therof & every part thereof to have and to hold the said
tract of land & all and singular the premises<?> & appertenances thereunto
belongin as aforesaid and every part thereof unto the said Henry Hartsfield,
his heirs, & assigns to the only proper use, benefit, & behoof of the said
Henry Hartsfield, his heirs, and assigns forever & the said Hannah McCarty,
Cornelius McCary, & William M. Stokes & their hiers the said tract of land &
premises aforesaid & every part thereof unto the said Henry Hartsfield, his
heirs & assigns against the said Hannah McCarty, Cornelius McCarty, & William
M. Stokes & their hiers and all and every other person or persons whatsoever
shall & warrant & forever defend by these presents.  In Wintess whereof the
said Hannah McCarty, Carnelius McCarty & William M. Stokes hath hereunto set
their hands & seals the day & year first above written.
