Indenture bet Godfrey Hartsfield & Richard Floyd 02 Nov 1807 Oglethorpe Co, GA This Indenture made this second day of November one thousand Eight hundred and weven and in the thirty seventh year of the American Independance between Godfrey Hartsfield & Sarah Hartsfield of the County of Wilks and State of Georgia of the one part and Richard Floyd of the county and state aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that they said Godfrey Hartsfield & Sarah Hartsfield hath for an in consideration of the sum of three hundred Dollars to them in hand paid by the said Richard Floyd before the Sealing and delivering these presents the Receipt whereof the said Godfrey Hartsfield and Sarah Hartsfield doth here by Acknowledge themselves fully sattisfied and paid hath by these presence for our selves our heirs &C. Granted bargained sold and confirmed unto the said Richard Floyd his heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcel of land containing one hundred Acres lying in Oglethorpe County near the North of Long Creek and in the State aforesaid Granted to Godfrey Hartsfield bounded by William Wilders Land and on all other sides Vacant Land When Surveyed as the Original Grant Will fully Show together With all and Singular Rights title claim or demand of said Godfrey Hartsfield & Sarah Hartsfield their heirs or assigns to have and to hold the said tract of land With all and Singular the premises aforesaid & unto the Said Richard Floyd his heirs and assigns to his and their own proper use and behoof forever and We the said Godfrey Hartsfield and Sarah Hartsfield do warrant and forever defend the above Bargained promised unto the said Richard Floyd his heirs and assigns against all claim or claims of any other person or persons Whatsoever in witness Where of we have herunto Set our hand and seal the Day and Year above writen Godfrey Hartsfield Sarah Hartsfield Henry Bains William Mallory J.P.
