Indenture bet Robt. Davisby & Berry Hartsfield 25 Nov 1835 Oglethorpe Co, GA

This indenture made this the twenty fifth of November Eighteen hundred and
thirty five between Robt. H. Davisby of the first part & Berry Hartsfield of
the other part both of the State of Georgia & County of Oglethorpe.
Witnesseth that the said R. H. Davisby for & in consderation of teh sum of
eight hundred dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged hath bargained & sold and confirmed & do by these present grant
bargain sell & confrim unto the sd. Berry Hartsfield his heirs and assignes
fer. One hundred and Sixty Seven acres of land be the same more or less
Situate lying and being in the State & County aforesaid on the waters of Broad
River being regularly granted to Wm. Cunningham & others having such form and
marks as are laid down in the Platt of the same.
Beginning at a Whiteoak on the River & running from thence along Pere R.
Godsbys line to a Post Oak Corner & from thence to a Pine Corner & from thence
along Wm. Glenns line to a Post Oak & thence along sd. Glenns line to a White
Oak corner the Branch thence from the said Oak to the Branch thence down the
branch to William Culbertsons line thence along said line to the River thence
siad River to the beginning Corner with the meanders of the same with all and
singular the rights members & appurtenances thereof whatsoever to the said
tract of land being, belonging, or any-wise appertaining to have and to hold
the said tract or parcel of land and all & singular the premises &
appurtenances thereto belonign as aforesaid and every part thereof unto the
said Berry Hartsfield his hiers and assigns forever in fee simple & the said
Robert H. Davisby will warrant & forever defend by these present.  In witness
whereof the Robert H. Davisby hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and
date above written.
