Indenture bet Andrew Hartsfield & Gabriel Jones 29 Jan 1818 Oglethorpe Co, GA This Indenture made this 29th day of January in the Year of Our Lord One thousand eight hundred and eighteen Between Andrew Hartsfield of the County of Oglethorpe and the State of Georgia of the one part and Gabriel Jones of the same place of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Andrew Hartsfield for & in consideration of nineteen hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the said Gabriel Jone the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell unto the said Gabriel Jones a certain tract of Land lying on the Little Beaverdam Creek in the County aforesaid Containing two hundred Acres. Begining at a Corne Stake and Runing thence N 88-1/2 E 23 chs 50 links to a corner Dogwood thence S 2-1/2 W 17 chs. 75 links to a corner Pine thence S 88-1/2 E 36 chs 25 links to a Corner Pine thence South 14 chs. 20 links to a corner P. Oak thence N 80-1/2 W 20 Chs. 75 links to a corner Stake thence S 30 W 35 chs. 50 links to a corner Red Oak thence N 62-1/2 W 25 chs. to a Corner Chesnut thence a direct line to the begining Corner. Together with all & singular the rights members and appurenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to the said Gabriel Jones and to his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Andrew Hartsfield for himself and his heirs doth Covenant and agree with the said Gabriel Jones and his heirs to warrant and defend the said tract of Land and premises to him the said Gabriel Jones and to his heirs and assigns against him the said Andrew Hartsfield and his heirs and against the right title or claim of all and singular every other person or persons whatever.
