Indenture bet Richard Hartsfield & Andrew Hartsfield 30 Dec 1817 Oglethorpe Co, GA This Indenture made this 30th day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & Seventeen Between Richard Hartsfield of the County of Oglethorpe in the State of Georgia of the one part, and Andrew Hartsfield of the same place of the other part Witnesseth that the said Richard Hartsfield for and in consideration of one thousand dollars to him in hand paid by the said Andrew Hartsfield the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted bargained and sold & by these presents doth grant bargain & sell unto the said Andrw Hartsfield a certain tract or parcel of land lying on the little Beaverdam Creek in the County aforesaid containing two hundred Acres begining at a corner stake & runing thence N 88-1/2 E 23 chains 30 links to a corner dogwood, thence S 2-1/2 W 17 chs 75 L to a corner pine, thence S 88-1/2 E 36 chs 25 L to a corner pine, thence South 14 ch 20 L to a corner P. oak, thence N 80-1/2 W. 20 chs 75 L to a corner Stake, thence S 30 W 35 chs 50 L to a corner red oak, thence N 62-1/2 W 25 chs to a corner chesnut, thence a direct line to the begining corner, Together with all & singular the rights members & appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to the said Andrew Hartsfield & to his heirs & assigns forever. I the said Richard Hartsfield for himself and his heirs doth covenant and agree with the said Andrew Hartsfield & his heirs to warrant & forever defend the said tract of land & premises to him the said Andrew Hartsfield & his heirs & assigns agains him the said Richard Hartsfield & his heirs & against the right title or claim of all & every other person or persons whatsoever - In Testimony whereof the said Richard Hartsfield hath hereunto set his hand & seal the day & year above written Richd.
