All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Harry Wilson hornridge@aol.com April 27, 2003, 4:21 pm Know all men by these presents that I, Thomas Colley of the County of Oglethorpe and State of Georgia, for and in consideration of the sum of Eight Hundred dollars to me in hand paid, the receipt of which I do herby acknowledge, do grant, bargin, sell, and confirm, and by these presence do bargan, sell, and deliver unto Joseph Wilson of the said County and State aforsaid, one negroe man slave named Larry, and one Melatto boy slave called and well known by the name of Isaac, the right and tittles of which Negores, Larry & Isaac I hereby bind myself, my heirs, & to warrant and forever defind to the said Joseph Wilson his heirs, executors, & against the claim or claims of all persons the said Colley do herby warrent the said Larry to be a sound and firm Negroe to the best of my knowledge, as witness my hand and seal this Seventh day of Febr. 1800 Signed Sealed and delivered In the presence of Test: Thos.
