     This indenture made the 4th day of April in the year of our Lord
     one thousand eight hundred and nine between Adam SIMMONS Jr.
     Administrator of Adam SIMMONS Sr. ___ of the county of Oglethorpe
     and state of Georgia of the one part, and Leonard YOUNG of the same
     county and state aforesaid of the other part. ______ that ____
     _____ in consideration of the sum of fifty five dollars to him in
     hand paid by the said Leonard the receipt when of is ____
     acknowledged have granted bargained sold and confirmed and by there
     presents do grand bargain sell and confirm a _____ or square of
     land _____ lying and being in county of Wilkinson known and
     described as lot No. 253 and Twenty Third District of said county
     to have and to hold unto the said Leonard his heirs Executors and
     with all and singular the rights members and a________ and way part
     and parcel therein contained . I the said Adam do bind myself my
     heirs Executor and as administrator aforesaid to warrant and defend
     the aforesaid bargained land and _____ free from claim or ____ of
     all and my person or persons claiming legally. In witness hereof, I
     said Adam administrator aforesaid hath hereunto set my hand and
     affixed my seal the day and date aforesaid. Signed Adam SIMMONS;
     witnesses Isaac COLLIER, J.P. HOPKINS, John LUMPKIN. Recorded 10
     April 1800.
