SIMMONS and Jesse SIMMONS guardian of Johannah SIMMONS & Elizabeth SIMMONS of the one part and Fountain WOOD of the other part witnesseth that the said Elizabeth SIMMONS, Jesse SIMMONS, James SIMMONS, & Asa B. SIMMONS for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred and ten dollars and seventy five cents to them in hand paid at or before the delivering of these present, hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell into the said Fountain WOOD his heirs and assign forever a certain tract or parcel of land situated lying and being in the County and State aforesaid on the waters of Beaverdam Creek adjoining the lands of Thomas GLENN and others and bounded as follows (vez) Beginning at a Pine corner at the Branch thence N 54 degree 30 W 48.50 chains to Stake, thence S 37 degree 30 W 44 chains to a P oak, thence N 55 degrees W 5 chains to a Stake, thence S 40 degrees W 19 chains to a Post Oak, thence N 54 degree 30 W 17.70 chains to a S Gum, thence N 11 degrees E 9 chains to an Ash, thence S 47 Degree E 25.75 chains to a Pine, thence N 43 E 14 chains to the beginning, containing one hundred acres more or less to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land unto the said Fountain WOOD his heirs and assign forever. And the said Elizabeth SIMMONS, Jesse SIMMONS, James SIMMONS, Asa B. SIMMONS and Jesse SIMMONS Guardian of Johannah SIMMONS & Elizabeth SIMMONS shall and will warrant and forever defend a good and lawful right and title to the said land into the said Fountain WOOD his heirs and assign forever In witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals the day and year first above written.
