Witnesseth that the Isham Smith for & in consideration of the sum of three hundred dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained & sold & by these presents doth buy sell & confirm unto the said Richard Bailey his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract of land containing two hundred acres be the same more or less lying & being in the aforesaid County on the main Long Creek & bounded as follows (to wit). Beginning at an ash on the branch called the Long Branch running thence N. 30 W. 15 chains to a white ash on the bank of the creek thence down the creek 11 chains to a white oak at the mouth of a branch thence up the said branch 23 chains to a white oak at the head thence N. 2 W. 39 ch. 50 links across a branch to a pine on Allens line thence S.35 W. 32 ch. to a chessnut thence with John Smiths line South 14 W. 42 ch. to a maple on the said Long Branch thence N. 70 W. 25 ch. To a white oak thence S. 8 W. 16 ch. To a white oak thence with Nortons line N. 15 E. 2 ch. To a red oak thence along East 49 chains to the Beginning. To have and to hold the said tract of land unto him the said Richard Bailey his heirs and assigns forever & the said Isham Smith doth for himself & his heirs & assigns covenant & agree with the said Richard Bailey to warrant defend the said tract of land to him the said Richard Bailey his heirs and assigns forever free from all claims rights letters on demands of him the said Isham Smith his heirs or assigns or any other claimant whatsoever.
