Farmer left Wednesday morning for Lexington, Ga., in response to a telegram advising her of the critical illness of her sister Mrs. W.T. Brooks. Mrs. Brooks is well remembered here as Miss Clifford Walton, her girlhood days having been spent in Newnan and her many friends will pray for her recovery. --- NEWSPAPER Issue of Friday, November 20, 1908 LOCAL News After suffering for several months with a severe trouble that baffled the skill of the physicians, the Death Angel came Monday at noon to relieve Mrs. Clifford Brooks, wife of Mr. Wm. T. Brooks. Besides her husband she leaves three children, a little daughter ten years old, and two little sons, aged 8 and 6 respectively. Mrs. Brooks lived near Lexington and had a number of friends who sincerely sorrow because of her death. She was reared in Newnan, her former home. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. M.S. Weaver in the presence of a number of friends who had gathered to pay her memory a last tribute. She was a member of the Presbyterian church and was buried in the Presbyterian cemetery.
