     Obituary for Alice Page Griffith                         
 
Obituary:   Lexington - Alice Page Griffith, 85, died May 14, 2009.
Born in Abbeville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Rueben J. and Eula 
Belle Mitchell Page and was preceded in death by her former husband, Thomas E. 
Moon. Mrs. Griffith was a member of Vineyard Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include her children, Joel F. Griffith and Steve J. Griffith, both 
of Lexington; former husband, Franklin D. Griffith; children, Mary Ann Moon 
(Julian) McDaniel of Bethlehem, Lucille Moon (Jerry, deceased) Wiles of 
Anderson, SC, Particia Moon Howard of Lexington and Janice Moon (Herbert) 
Harrison of Thomson; brother, Rev. James G. Page of Comer; 12 grandchildren, 
20 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Sunday, May 17, 2009 at 3:00 PM at Lord and Stephens 
Chapel, EAST with Rev. James G. Page and Rev. Dave and Anna Gay Newell 
officiating. Interment will be at Athens Memory Gardens. Grandsons will serve 
as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 5:00 until 
7:00 PM.
Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to Odyssey Hospice.
