Obituary for Louise Griffith

Louise Griffith 
Louise B. Griffith, 88, of Crawford, peacefully passed away January 20, 2017 at 
Quiet Oaks Nursing Home in Crawford, GA. 

A native of Oglethorpe County, Mrs. Griffith was the daughter of the late Sam 
and Sara Brooks and was preceded in death by her husband, J. W. “Jake” Griffith, 
son, Buddy Griffith, brother and sister, John Brooks and Polly Wilson and 
grandson, Mark Griffith. 

Survivors include her daughter, Jane Foster; granddaughters, Tina Land, Laura 
Dellinger (Chris) and Tammy Wilson (Darryl); brothers, Sam Brooks, Arnall 
Brooks; sisters, Doris Sanborn, Jo Holbrook and Wilma Mattox; seven great 
grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the chapel 
of Lord and Stephens, EAST. Entombment was follow at Evergreen Memorial Park.in 
Athens, Ga. 

Pallbearers are Chris Dellinger, Brent Dellinger, Ryan Mattox, Britt Brooks, 
John Brooks and Jim Blount.

The family did receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the 
funeral home. 

Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
