Poney H. Martin, age 73, of West Palm Beach, Florida passed away on Saturday,
February 22, 1997. Mr. Martin had lived here since 1978, coming from Giessen,
Germany. He served in the United States Army for many years, retiring in 1963.
He then worked as a civilian employee for the Airforce Exchange Service. He
retired in 1978 after 15 years of service. Mr. Martin was a devoted volunteer
for ARC, in West Palm Beach, FL. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather
and wonderful friend to those that knew him.

Surviving are 11 grandchildren, Bret and Janet Martin, Mark Shelly and Sonny
Miller and Kim Pate.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, February 27, 1997 at the
funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park, West Palm
Beach, FL. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 6:00pm until
8:00pm. In leiu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the
ARC Adult Men's Group Home, 3893 Park Lane, West Palm Beach, FL. 33406.

Mitzell-Faville-Zern-Southdale-Chapel, 4101 Parker Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL.
33405. 

Additional Comments:
Poney Hudson Martin was the son of George Washington Martin and Essie Gertrude
Smith Martin. He was born Oct. 23, 1923 in Oglethorpe Co. Ga.
