Union Recorder
William Henry Martin, 84, died Monday, November 06, 2006. Services were held at 
11a.m. Wednesday at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville, Ga.
Mr. Martin was a native of Lexington, Ga. but had made his home in 
Milledgeville for many years. He worked and retired from as an automotive 
mechanic with Gordon Ford. He was an Army Veteran of World War 11.
He was the son of the late George Washington Martin and Essie Gertrude Smith.
Survivors include his wife Eileen Martin of Milledgeville, Ga.; children from 
previous marriage, two sons, Charles Arlean Martin and Calvin Martin, both from 
Lake City, Fla.; one daughter, Patricia Ann Kreher of New Athens, IL.; three 
sisters, Ruby Belle Crawford and Dorothy Eunice Martin of Haddock, Ga.; Lucille 
Essie Martin of McIntyre, Ga.; two brothers, Hoyt Amos O'Kelly Martin of 
Hardwick, Ga.; Quilla Thomas Martin of Columbus, Ga.; two sisters and two 
brothers pre-deceased him, Georgia Mae Prosser, Ruth Elizabeth Brown, Otis 
Odell Martin and Poney Hudson Martin. He had several grandchildren, several 
neices and nephews. William will be greatly missed by his family.
Moores Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
