    Obituary for Frances H. Mathews                         
 
Obituary:   Lexington - Frances H. Mathews, 100, born March 23, 1910, died 
Saturday, April 17, 2010 at the St. Mary’s Hospice House. 

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at 11AM at Wesley 
Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Lexington with Rev. Donnie Morgan and 
Rev. Howard Ledford officiating. 

Born in Oglethorpe County, she was the last of twelve children. She was the 
daughter of the late Eddie Harrison and Amorretta “Ammie” Jackson , and wife 
of the late George R. Mathews. She was a member of Lighthouse Evangelical 
Methodist Church and was a homemaker. 

Survivors include her children: Martha Rayburn of Athens, George M. (Sandra) 
Mathews of Lexington, Jere (Sandra)Mathews of Lexington, Geneva Oldham of 
Lexington, Moina (David) Johnson of Elberton; 10 grandchildren, 21 great 
grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren. 

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Monday, April 19, 2010 at the 
funeral home. 

Flowers are optional or memorials may be made to Lighthouse Evangelical 
Methodist Church, P.O. Box 295, Lexington, GA. 

Lord & Stephens, Oglethorpe Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
