 Last Rites Set For G.W. Martin Friday Morning.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday for George Washington 
Martin, 78 year old Hardwick resident, who died Monday at his home. Services 
will be held in the chapel of Moore's Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Stinson, 
pastor of the Hardwick Baptist Church, officating. Interment will be in 
Lexington.
 Mr. Martin is survived by his wife, the former Miss Essie Smith, five sons, 
Quilla and Poney H. Martin, U.S. Army of Occupation, Germany; Otis Martin of 
Sandersville; William H. Martin of Ipswich, Mass.; and Hoyt Martin of 
Milledgeville; five daughters, Mrs. Ruth Cummings of Hardwick; Mrs. Belle Lord 
and Mrs. Georgia Prosser of Sandersville; Misses Lucille and Eunice Martin of 
Hardwick.

Additional Comments:
Was buried at Vesta Church in Oglethorpe County.
