Mr. Bray, a native of Oglethorpe County, was a son of the late Jesse Walter and Nannie Permelia Patman Bray. He was a member of Sandy Cross Baptist Church and a retired Westinghouse employee. He was a member of the American Legion James T. Rayle Post 123. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today at Sandy Cross Baptist Church. The Revs. John Ultzen and Edgar S. Raines will officiate and burial will be in the Bray Cemetery on Sandy Cross Road. The body will be placed in the church at 2 p.m.. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Survivors include his wife, Ruby Haynes Bray; a daughter, Permelia Barrett, Hull, six sons, Bobby Bray, Athens, Clifford Bray and Jessie Allen Bray, colbert, Douglas Bray, Santa Jose, Calif., and Gene Bran and Jerry Bray, Lexington; a sister Pearl Matthews, Athens; three step sisters; 10 grandchildren; five great grandchildren, two nieces and a nephew.
