Judge Pope, Athens. Athens, Ga., February 24- Judge Frank Pope, one of the oldest and most prominent citizens of Oglethorpe county, was buried in this city today, in Oconee cemetery, the body being brought on the Georgia train from his home in Cherokee Corner. Judge Pope, who was formerly a citizen of Athens, was a wealthy farmer of Oglethorpe and had reached the advanced age of 81 years, when the end came suddenly Wednesday morning. He is survived by one brother and his widow. His brother, William Pope, of Mississippi, reached this city yesterday.
