Pat Sloan, 57, of Crawford, died Wednesday, October 18, 2006, at her residence.

She was born on June 9, 1949, in Oglethorpe County and was the daughter of 
Mary Francis Welch of Comer and the late O.C. Bray. Mrs. Sloan was preceded in 
death by a sister, Betty Bray; and brother, Toby Welch.

Survivors include her husband, Eddie Sloan, Crawford; her mother; sisters, 
Shannon Looney and Sarah Bray, both of Comer, and Wendy Glenn, Crawford; 
sisters, Teresa Fowler, Comer, and Connie Richardson, Erwin, Tenn.; brothers, 
Allen Welch and Dwayne Welch, both of Comer; two half-brothers; and two half-
sisters.

Memorial services were held Saturday, October 21, at Collier Baptist Church 
with the Rev. Gerald Bronson officiating. Burial was in the Crawford Cemetery.

Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, Crawford, was in charge of arrangements.
