Oglethorpe Echo
  Blondine Caldwell Smith, 91, of Rt. 1, Lexington, died Monday, September 21, 
1992.
  A native of Oglethorpe County, Mrs. Smith was a daughter of the late Robert 
Edward and Elizabeth Mattox Caldwell. She was a homemaker and a member of the 
Palmetto Christian Church. She was the widow of Charles Swift Smith.
  Graveside services were at 2 p.m. on Tuesday in the Caldwell Family Cemetery 
near Lexington. The Rev. Elmer Boggs officiated.
  Survivors include two sons, Charles Smith, Carlton, and Lanier Smith, 
Newton, Ala; a sister, Reba Caldwell, Lexington; two grandchildren; and two 
great grandchildren.
  Hicks Funeral Home, Elberton was in charge of arrangements.
