BAIRDSTOWN: Mssrs. William Smith and J.L. McWhorter attended the funeral
of Mr. W. R. Vaughn near Stephens Sunday afternoon.

MAXEYS MATTERS: Mr. W.R. Vaughn, an old and highly esteemed citizen of
near Maxeys, passed away Saturday morning last, and was laid to rest in
the family cemetery at his home Sunday evening with Masonic honors. Mr.
Vaughn was a Mason for over 55 years, and a member of Howard Lodge. His
many friends here deeply sympathize with the bereaved ones.
