Annette Hudson Rose August 2003 Georgia, Oglethorpe County: By virtue of an order of the honorable, the Court of Ordinary of said County, at January Term 1825 on the petition of John Hudson one the distributees of the estate of William Beasley dec'd through Abram Greer, guardian for Betsey, the wife of said John Hudson, for his distributive share of the personal property of said estate, we the undersigned in said order named after being duly sworn to make such distribution as required by law do appraise the following six lots of negroes at the rates annexed to each lot, to wit: No. 1 Gidion No. 4 Cillar Toney Fanny & Hannah Dub at $1225 Tillar & Celey at $1100 " 2 Peter " 5 Nelson Rhoda Violet George & Sarah & Jordan at $1300 Jerry at $1125 " 3 Anthony Jacob Phyllis Biddy Squire & Sophy & Scott at $1500 Richard at $1250 And, do assign to the said John Hudson the 3rd lot to wit: Anthony, Phillis, Squire and Scott, appraised to fifteen hundred dollars, this 8th day of January 1825. Robert Myrich ********* William Beasley had died from a fall from a horse, either late 1821, or early 1822, the exact date excaping us at the moment. His brother, John Beasley, along with the widow, Nancy Beasley, and her father, Henry English, Sr., were bonded March 1822 to act as Administrators to the Estate. John Hudson, son of Frederick Hudson and Lucy (Greer) Hudson, married one of the dec'd daughters, Elizabeth "Betsey" Beasley, 23 December 1823. For the record, another daughter, Sara Annie Beasley, married William Greer Hudson, another son of Frederick and Lucy (Greer) Hudson in 1830.
