Collier Minute Book # 98, 1860-1862 Pages 194 & 195 Oglethorpe County, Georgia (page 194) Return of the division of the negroes belonging to the estate of Edward V. Collier deceased so as to get two portions out of the estate of said deceased, State of Georgia ] Oglethorpe County ] By Virtue of an order from the Honorable Court of Ordinary of said County to us directed Authorizing and Requiring us to make Distribution of the Estate of the negro property of Edward V. Collier deceased late of said County among the distributees entitled to said estate we proceed This day to the performance of that duty. These six distributees, to wit Francis P. Collier son of the deceased, of full age, William H. Moss the Representative of his wife Mary E. formerly Mary E. Collier, daughter of said deceased, Sallie (page 195) P. Collier, Celestia J. Collier, Edward P. Collier & Lucy D. Collier, minor heirs of said deceased, the property was divided into two shares and numbered 1, 2, owing to the fact that the above named Francis P. Collier & William H. Moss only wanted to have their part apportioned off to them. The numbers 1, 2, written on a seperate piece of paperand placed in a hat, and drawn out,The following was the result. No 1 Francis P. Collier, No 2 William H. Moss No 1 consisted of a Negro man named George valued at $950.00. No 2 consisted of two Negro women named Eveline & Mason valued at $1225.00 the balance of the property or shares were thrown back in common stock for the benefit of the other four minors of said estate. The four minor children pays back to No 1---$341.00 and The four minor children pays back to " 2--- 66.00 ------------------ All of which is Respectfully submitted, this 8th January 1861 Wm. M.
