Edwards 11 Feb 1845 Oglethorpe County Will Book D, Page 153 In the name of God, Amen. I, Benjamin H. Edwards of the county and state aforesaid, do ordain and appoint this to be my last will & testament. I desire that my estate, consisting of all the property of which I may die possessed, may be kept together for five years or until my younger children, Sarah M. Edwards and John Rufus Edwards, shall have received the rudiments of an education – and my family supported out of the same during that time, meaning thereby my wife and the two younger children above named. And after that time, I wish my estate to be equally divided between the following persons, to wit: William H. Edwards, Mary Harrison, Francis Bledsoe, now of Mississippi, Martha M. Borum, Jinett Harmon, Sarah M. Edwards, and John R. Edwards. And my wife Permelia A. Edwards. I appoint Robert Harrison my Executor and request that he take the management of my estate and carry out this my last will and testament.
