Hawkins the Negro girl Jinny a horse saddle and bridle bed and bedstead and the usual quantity of bed clothing for one bed and one cow and calf. 2nd I give to my son Thomas H. Hawkins the Negro boy named Sam his bedstead & furniture above expressed to my daughter and cow and calf. 3rd I give to my daughter Rebecca A. Hawkins the Negro girl named Mahala one horse bridle and saddle a bed bedstead and furniture and cow and calf. 4th I give to my son William M. Hawkins the Negro boy named Jerry one horse a bed bedstead and furniture therefore and one cow & calf. 5th I give to my son Thomas H. Hawkins in trust for my daughter Harriet B. a Negro woman named Sarah one horse saddle and bridle a bed bedstead and furniture therefore and a cow and calf the same which I have already loaned her, and also an equal share of my property not specially disposed at my deceased in this my will with any other children who are made residuary legatees, the said property be applied by my said son as trustee in the manner most useful to my said daughter during her life, but in no manner to be subject to the payment of the debts of her husband or his contracts the said property to belong to the children of my said daughter if my son Thomas H. should die or decline acting as trustee, it is my will that a new trustee shall be appointed as in provided for in the 14th clause of this will. 6th I give to my son Felix G. Hawkins the Negro boy named Edward one horse bridle and saddle a bed bedstead and furniture therefore and one cow and calf. 7th I give to my son Thomas H. Hawkins the Negro boy named ..... The Negro girl named Julian one horse bridle and saddle a bed bedstead & furniture and a cow and a calf. 8th I give to my son Augustus C. Hawkins one hundred dollars to be in full of all share in my real and personal estate and I give & confirm to him the property which I have already put into his possession. 9th I give to my daughter Mary Ann Lee one hundred dollars in full of all share of any real and personal estate and confirm to her the property which I have already put into her possession. 10th I give to my daughter Nancy L. Birdsong the Negro boy named Jefferson in full of all share of my real & personal estate and confirm to her the property which I have already given to her. 11th I give to my son John B. Hawkins the Negro boy named Daniel and the Negro boy named Henry in full of all further share in my real & personal estate and confirm to him the property which I have already given to him. 12th It is my will that if either or any one of the Negroes which I have given to my children should die before he or she shall come into their possession, that the value of such Negro or Negroes who shall so die, shall be paid out of my real & personal estate not already specifically bequeathed to the child ro children to whom such Negro or Negroes who shall so die is given. 13th It is also my desire that the horses bed bedsteads & furniture cows and calves which I have given to some of my children above shall be taken from such as belongs to my estate and shall be the best that I have and of as nearly equal value as belongs to my estate. 14th I give to my son Thomas H. Hawkins in trust for my daughter Elizabeth L. Howard four hundred dollars to be paid to him as trustee as soon as it can be raised by Executors out of my estate not already specifically bequeathed the said sum of four hundred dollars to be loaned out at interest by said trustee and the interest only to be paid to my said daughter Elizabeth L. yearly as near so as the same can be collected, and at the death of my said daughter Elizabeth L., I bequeath the said four hundred dollars to the children of the said Elizabeth L. who may be living, at her death to be equally divided between them, and if any of her children shall die before that time leaving children that such children to stand in the place of their deceased parent in such division of said four hundred dollars, and if my son Thomas H. Hawkins should refuse such trust or should die before my said daughter Elizabeth L. or should find it inconvenient to act in such trust then it is my will that the Superior Court of the County aforesaid appoint some fit person to act as trustee instead. 15th It is my will that all my property both real & personal not already specifically disposed of above be sold by my Executor and after paying any debts and carrying into effect all the Legacies which I have above given to my children that the proceeds together with all the money which I may have or may be due me equally divided between Martha W. Hawkins, Thomas H. Hawkins, Rebecca A. Hawkins, William M. Hawkins and to Thomas H. in trust for Harriet B. during her life time and after her death to her children and their representatives as already provided for in the 5th clause of this will, Felix Hawkins and Tha... H. Hawkins. I do hereby appoint my sons Thomas H. Hawkins & William M. Hawkins Executors of this my last will & testament and do hereby revoke and annex all former wills & testaments.
