Will of Saymor (Seymore) Lee, Oglethorpe Co. GA Submitted by Wayne D. Tiller The Will of Saymor (Seymore) Lee Georgia, Oglethorpe County -- I Saymor Lee of the County and State aforesaid being of sound mind and memory do make this my last will & testament in manner and form following -- Item 1st - Whereas I have hertofore given to my sons Joseph D. Lee, John G. Lee, Charles H. Lee, Robert W. Lee and my daughter Huldy Nowell and Tempy Lawrence and Elizabeth P. Redy one thousand dollars each in money & other property which is to be understood as part of their legacy -- Item 2nd -- My will and desire is that all my just debts shall be paid if any remain against me at my death. Item 3rd -- My will and desire is that all debts that may be due me at my death be collected by my Executors herein after to be named and all amounts so collected with the ready money that I may have on hand if any be equally divided between my sons Joseph D. Lee, John G. Lee, Charles H. Lee, Robert W. Lee and my daughters Huldah Nowell, Elizabeth P. Redy and Tempy Lawrence but half the amount that may be coming to Tempy Lawrence I give to her daughter Mary Ann Brooks. Item 4th -- It is my will & desire that all my beds with all the furniture belonging to them be divided into eight separate parts and then drawn for by my following named legatees Nancy Lee, Joseph D. Lee, John G. Lee, Charles H. Lee, Robert W. Lee Huldah Nowell, Tempy Lawrence & Elizabeth P. Redy. Item 5th -- My will & desire is that my herein after named Executors shall at public sale on a credit of one year all the remainder of my property (with the exception of that tract of land granted to Samual W. ?Corincha? containing two hundred acres the same being the tract that my house and out buildings stand on, and the proceeds when collected equally divided between my following named legatee, Nancy Lee, Joseph D. Lee, John G. Lee, Charles H. Lee, Robert W. Lee, Huldah Nowell, Elizabeth Redy and Tempy Lawrence but that one half of the share that may be coming to Tempy Lawrence I give to her daughter Mary Ann Brooks -- Item 6th -- It is my will & desire that my slave Rachel in consideration of her having served me faithfully, shall be allowed the priviledge of making choice of a master provided the person made choice of will pay to my executors three fourths of the sum that any two persons appointed by my executors shall consider her worth and the same shall be divided in the same manner as the property named in the 5th item -- Item 7th -- I give and bequeath to my wife Nancy Lee during her life time the tract of land whereon I now live containing two hundred acres provided she will live on the same and make her home there in case she should refuse it is my will that the land be sold and the proceeds divided in the same manner as above stated. And it is further my will that at the death of my wife Nancy the land above given her shall be sold and the proceeds divided equally amongst my legatees as mentioned in Item 5th -- Item 8th -- I hereby nominate and appoint Charles Arnold and Frederick W.
