Will of Noah Lacey - Oglethorpe Co. GA Submitted by Wayne Tiller Will of Noah Lacey The Will of Noah Lacey from Will Book C Oglethorpe County, Georgia In the name of God Amen. I Noah Lacey of the County of Oglethorpe and State of Georgia being in good health, and sound disposing mind & memory, Knowing the mortality of man, and that God has appointed once for all men to die do make & ordain this my last will & Testament. first, I resign my soul to God who gave it, and my body to the earth, to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executors. Item 1st. My will is that my beloved wife Mary Lacey should have one feather bed & furniture and bedstead during her natural life and that the residue of my goods and chattle, personal and perishable property together with all other effects which I may be in possession of at my death, be sold and the money arising from said sale, with all I may have on hand, or that may be owing to me, be put on interest, and that my Executors do annually furnish & allow my said wife Mary according to her situation in the decline of life what they shall judge sufficient and liberal support, out of the income arising from said money. Item 2nd. My will is that after the death of my wife Mary, that the bed & furniture before named and bedstead be sold, & the money arising there from, together with the remainder of the money before mentioned, be equally divided as follows, to wit. between Elizabeth Banks, Judith Wise, Sally Law, Polly Wise and my grand daughter the oldest daughter of Patsey Freeman, Francis Smith, Magladen Mathew, Jane Tiller, and to my grand daughter Patsey Goolsby daughter of Jaol Goolsby, and to be theirs & their kin. Item 3rd. My will is that my three sons Stephen Lacey, William Lacey, and John Lacey have the property & money which I have hertofore put in their possession and do now confirm, to each of them by will as their full and proportionable parts of my Estate and no more - And I do hereby appoint and constitute & ordain my friends John Thornton, John Patman & Aaron Wilkes my lawful Exeutors to this my last will & Testament to carry the same into effect.
