Last Will and Testament of Burwell Pope, Oglethorpe Co., GA Will Book A (two 
pages)

In the name of God amen-
I Burwell Pope of the County of Oglethorpe &
state of Georgia being in perfect health and sound mind
make & ordain this my last will & testament-
in manner and form following-Viz-

Item I give unto my beloved wife Priscilla-James-
(word) (word) (word) of all my love att----(?): all my household 
furniture & plantation tools: except the desk: She paying
all my just debts & to those(?) of my Children the several
(word) hereafter mentioned: also the use off my plantation
whereon I now live during her natural life-

Item I Give and bequeath to my son Robert two negroes
Jacob and Judah five hundred and seventy five acres of 
Land in Jacson County, on the north fork of the Oconee
River whereon he now lives, one feather bed & furniture two
cows and Calves, ; he paying to the estate one thousand dollars
& eighteen thousand pounds of Inspected tobacco at his option

Item I Give and bequeath to my daughter Tabitha two negroes
(Word)fes & David one feather Bed and furniture two Cows & Calves
(missing words) hundred and eighty seven & a half acres of of lands-
(missing words) tract whereon Miles Hill now lives-

Item I Give and bequeath to my daughter Ann two negroes
(word)in and Peter; one feather Bed & furniture two Cows &
Calves & two hundred and eighty seven & a half acres of land on
(B)ig(?) Creek whereon Noah Hill now lives-

Item I Give and bequeath to my daughter Martha two negroes
(missing part of will) & Dick; one feather Bed and furniture two Cows
(missing part of will) other Negro named Lucy.

Negroes Ida, Ophrain & Richard one feather bed & furniture
two Cows and Calves.—

Item I Give and bequeath unto my son Burwell two negoes
Edward & James (the younger) one feather bed & furniture
Two Cows and Calves & tract of land Including th(word)

paying all my Just Debts to be Equally divided Among
all my Children so as to make each Childs part as
equal as possible. By John Pope, Henry A Pope and
Wylie Pope who is appointed my executors to this my
