From LDS microfilm #1907329 of Oglethorpe County estate records held at the GA Archives, Atlanta, GA Annual Returns 1837-1850 Sell Property 1837 Demiss Adm 1850 Bond Adm 1837 Letters of Dismission 1851 County: Georgia, Know all men by these presents, That we Joseph Smith and Daniel Harris are held, and firmly bound, unto their Honors, the Justices of the Inferior Court of said County, sitting for ordinary purposes, and their successors in office, in the just and full sum of five hundred dollars, for the payment of which sum to the said Justices and their successors, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators, in the whole and for the whole sum, jointly and severally, and firmly, by these presents. Sealed with our seals and dated this first day of May 1837. The condition of the above obligation is such, that if the above bound Joseph Smith administrator of the goods, chattels and credits of Andrew Poss deceased, do make, or cause to be made, a true and perfect inventory of all and singular the goods, chattels and credits of the said deceased, which have or shall come to the hands, or possession, or knowledge of the said Joseph Smith or into the possession of any other person for him; and the same, so made, do exhibit to the Court of Ordinary for said county, at such time as he shall be thereunto required by law, and the same goods, chattels, and credits do well and truly administer according to law, and make a just and true account of his actings and doings, when by law required; and further, do well and truly pay and deliver all the Legacess or distributive shares of said estate, as far as the said goods, chattels and credits will extend, or the law require, then this obligation to be void; else remain in full force.
