( page 75 ) State of Georgia Oglethorpe County Sept. term 1840 Georgia ] In the name of God Amen Oglethorpe County ] I Clifford Woodruff of the County and State aforesaid being in good bodially Health and Sound in mind & memory, Knowing it is Appointed by God that this body shall die, do Make Ordain & Constitute this to be my last Will & testament as follows to wit. Item first. I give grant and bequeath unto my son Elisha Woodfuff one Hundred Acres of land including The plantation whereon he now lives to him his heirs And assigns forever. Item second. I give and bequeath unto my son Clifford Woodruff his heirs & assigns a negro fellow Named Bozwell. Item third. I give and bequeath to my daughter Lucy Woodruff two Negroes a woman named Hester & a fellow named Daniel, also one Sorrel filly and Womans saddle & two feather Beds & furniture. Item fourth. I give and bequeath unto my two daughters Molly Colquitt & Susan Wilson their Heirs & assigns Ten dollars to be equally divided between Them. Item fifth. My will is that the plantation where On I now live shall be sold also all of my stock & property ( that is not as yet been willed ) including Horses, Cattle Hogs, Sheep, plantation tools household & kitchen furniture, out of the proceeds of this property my debts shall be first paid including my funeral expenses. The balance or residue of the net sales of this property to be equally divided between my daughter Nancy Lee the wife of Simon Lee & my son Benjamin Woodruff. Lasty I do hereby ordain constitute and appoint my Two sons Benjamin Woodruff and Clifford Woodruff ( page 76 ) Record of Wills September Term 1840 My Executors to this my Last Will and testament hereby Revoking all other former Wills or will.
